At the time of this writing the movement to buy Canadian and boycott American goods is now at least 900,000 strong. It is probably well over a million or more if all groups were combined. It is heartwarming despite the sad circumstances that brought this movement about.
Here is my prediction. To help us keep track “made in Canada” will become clearly labelled. Here is my prediction. When a product falsely claims to be environmentally friendly that is called “green washing”. So, when a product is labelled “Made in Canada” but later it is discovered that the product actually supported American jobs in some step of its production …. That will be called … “Red and Whitewashing” or maybe “Maple Leaf washing”. Anyway, it will be called something washing. That is my prediction.
